Playtech, a gaming technology company, announced on Friday that it has launched live casino studios for iGaming in Michigan and New Jersey.
The news comes after the London Stock Exchange-listed company received approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board and the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
The double launch of Playtech Live marks its first forays into live iGaming in the United States. The Isle of Man-based company is considered to be the largest live studio game operator in Asia and Europe.
In Michigan, Playtech’s studio offers live iGaming for Parx Interactive. Parx serves as a gaming partner for the Gun Lake Band of the Pottawatomi Indians. Play Gun Lake games originate in the Southfield, Michigan studio just outside Detroit.
According to a Playtech release, the partnership with Parx has recently ended.
Likewise, in New Jersey, Playtech offers their live casino games to bet365, a longtime gaming partner. Bet365 works as a skin for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The games studio is located in Atlantic City.
Through the partnership, the technology provider “has been able to enter some of the fastest growing US states, and Playtech’s vision and drive to grow in those states has been well received by local communities,” said Edo, CEO of Playtech Live Casino.
The news comes less than a week after Elys Game Technology reached an agreement with Playtech to offer iGaming products in Italy under the Newgioco brand.
